How to Classify Aluminium Tread Plate

People tend to pay extra attention to things related to their work content. Wherever I am, I would notice any possible aluminium tread plate even in shopping malls and sometimes cannot help discussing its properties with friends accompanying me. Though my serious attitude towards work is always met with taunts and jibes from my friends, it’s so difficult for me to change the habit. Next time I plan to tell them how to classify aluminium tread plate.

One of the most popular aluminium tread plate is called normal alloy plate. It has been obtained by processing alloy 1060. Of general hardness and corrosion resistance, 1060 plate is usually used in common conditions as anti-slip floors in front of lift doors and packaging materials for machines. A second type of aluminium tread plate is called aluminum manganese plate. It’s made of alloy 3003 and also called corrosion resistant aluminium plate. As a matter of fact, it shows better performance than 1060 plate in both corrosion resistance and strength. In comparison with alloy 5xxx, however, it has no advantages in either aspect. 3003 tread plate is more frequently applied in environment of loose anti-corrosion requirement, such as truck frames and refrigerated house floors. Another type of aluminium tread plate mainly contains aluminium and magnesium, also called 5xxx plate, including alloys 5052, 5083 etc. It’s of the strongest hardness and anti-rust ability among the three types of plates. It can be used in humid environment as ship components.

Of course, aluminium tread plate contains much more alloys than mentioned above. Here we only explain differences among 1xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx alloys by giving simple examples. Haomei Aluminium manufactures aluminium tread plateas well as aluminium plate of various specifications in market. Welcome to contact april@aluminumhm.com for more information.
